Research Project:
Many genome wide association studies in neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders have identified significant loci, however understanding their functional role has been challenging. In my research, I study the effects of genetic variation on gene expression in order to map regulatory loci to genes through expression quantitative trait loci analysis. We aim to provide further understanding of mechanisms underlying transcriptional regulation in the developing human brain and identify critical driver genes of neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders.
