Research Project:
I am still developing a project but am broadly interested in combining molecular biology with bioinformatics to understand how chromatin biology affects gene expression, and how they contribute to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neuropsychiatric illnesses. As a child psychiatrist, this is relevant to my work with patients with ASD, for whom, currently, very few treatments exist. At the moment, I am looking at structural variation in ASD and using HiC to understand neural development, and ASD.
